For more than a year, coronavirus disruptions have been the norm in the United States, driving changes in higher education, business, and a variety of professions. Among these the changes, US college admission is especially worth to mention.
According to Forbes, applications to the nation's most selective schools increased after the pandemic forced most schools to adopt test-optional admission policies. Harvard received 57,435 applications, a 43 percent increase from the previous year. Harvard accepted 1,968 applicants, including those who applied early. Columbia received 60,551 applications, a 51% increase, and admitted 2,218 students.
